Summary of Role\: GlobalFoundries is looking out for a talented Cloud Solutions Architect to manage our company's Public and Private cloud architecture. The selected candidate will play a strategic role in Private and Public cloud solution architecture and governance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and transforming applications to the cloud. The candidate should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share the knowledge. The candidate also needs to possess strong negotiation skills to discuss and convince stakeholders about the proposed solutions and ideas. Essential Responsibilities include\:

  • Work with Enterprise Architecture teams to define the strategy and roadmap for Public and Private Cloud
  • Help and guide teams on deciding the right cloud type for solutions
  • Define the solution architecture for projects ensuring its alignment with overall IT Strategy and Organization's long-term technology roadmap
  • Research and evaluate best practices in software development and help the team's pilot and deploy them
  • Create application transformation strategy to help migrate applications to cloud using cloud native technologies
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and tools offering from Cloud providers to assess their fitment for the organization roadmap. Also work on incorporating these tools and technology into software project and solutions
  • Work closely with Security and Compliance teams to ensure Cloud Architecture follows all applicable norms and regulations
  • Track and optimize platform costs
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for solutions and also help support team debug complex issues
  • Create, implement, and maintain cloud governance framework working with enterprise architect team
  • Lead and automate platform management and reporting
Other Responsibilities\:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Qualification: Required Qualifications\:
  • Bachelors or above in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5-8 years' experience with architecting and implementing medium to complex software solutions
  • Experience with Python and its AI/ML Modules.
  • TOGAF® Certification preferred
  • Hands-on experience with AWS platform
  • Experience with implementing platforms like VMWare and/or Openstack
  • Experience with implementing containerization platforms like Kubernetes/OpenShift or equivalent
