Summary of Role\: The position leads the Network & Security Planning team that is accountable for constantly evolving GF's network to adhere to our Zero Trust philosophy while enabling secure connectivity for the modern real time enterprise. They will participate in the development of Network, Security and Cyber capability roadmaps. Maintain a catalogue of reference patterns to ensure all their solution designs are repeatable, reliable, predictable, secure, and adhere to all regulatory compliance and operationally ready. This manager analyzes the needs of departments and establishes priorities for network & security portfolio. They will provide leadership, selection, develop, train, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the department. This position can be in our Malta, Austin or Santa Clara locations. Essential Responsibilities include\:
- Lead the enterprise's network & security organization, consisting of direct reports and indirect reports, including hiring, training, staff development, performance management and annual performance review.
- Responsible for all network & security technology including the design, construction, reconstruction and re-factoring, technology standardization, and modernization as relating to security and alignment to the defined technology roadmaps.
- Delivers new Network & security technology approaches and implementing next-generation solutions
- Provide secure connectivity solution designs to enable GF's platform modernization strategy
- Ensure all solution designs adhere to GF's Zero Trust philosophy
- Implements Network & security solutions to minimize the risk of cyber-attacks
- Conducts a continuous assessment of current Network security practices and systems and identifying areas for improvement
- Drives change projects and building new Network capabilities
- Protecting the intellectual property of the organization at all times
- Managing the Network security budget and communicating this with the appropriate parties
- Responsible for assessing and review security controls placed on cloud services, systems, networks, databases, endpoints and applications
- Participate in seminars and workshops to learn about new security developments
- Participate in professional organizations to improve skills and knowledge of Service Industry
- Maintain relationships with partners and tool providers for updates, new functionality and evolving trends
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 10+ years leadership experience with demonstrated people management skills - providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff and building a positive working environment
- 8-10 years of experience in the field of Network & Security
- Extensive experience of Cisco (DNAC, ISE, ACI), Checkpoint, Bluecoat, Palo Alto, and Juniper security product sets
- Detailed Internet/Network Security skills - firewalls, VPN, IDS, IPS, proxies, etc.
- A passion for technology, Cyber and security safeguarding with a desire to deliver
- Thrives on change, showing an impressive ability to drive the IT security strategy forward
- Analytical mind capable of managing numerous information sources and providing data analysis reports to senior management
- A proven record of dealing with complex projects
- Customer facing skills are highly required
- Ability to develop, describe and communicate Security Baselines and Policies
- Ability to design, deploy, support Network & Security Solutions
- Ability to breakdown silos and work cooperatively with Network and Voice/Telecom teams as needed
- Excellent ability to articulate technical language into laymen's terms
- Certifications\: Cisco CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, CWNA, AWS or Azure advanced networking
- Security Certifications\: CISSP, CISM, CEH, SSCP
- ITIL 4 Managing Professional
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
- Working knowledge in the Semiconductor industry
