Northrop Grumman Aeronautics has an opening for a Sr Principal Cybersecurity Engineer Systems Test - IPT Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Melbourne, Florida. Primary Roles and Responsibilities: Platform Security analysis Platform Security remediation Essential Functions: Support operation and maintenance of Network/Security Operations Center (NOC/SOC) Maintain availability of Test Station and Software Development Environment Collecting and reporting system data metrics Ensure systems adhere to program configuration and data management plans Providing software maintenance and installing software upgrades and patches Ensure Lab Operations Policy and Procedures as being executed and updated (E0-7409 and Lab Ops Standard Operating Procedures) Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems Assist in the implementation of the required government policy, make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports. Provide support of system and network assessments within the environment or enclave and identify where systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy while generating Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of Cybersecurity and Test Engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 7 years of Cybersecurity and Test Engineering experience Must possess certification as required by DoD Directive 8570 such as Security + CE Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance and maintain it throughout employment. Must have a minimum of an Interim DoD Secret clearance to start. Preferred Qualifications: Active DoD Secret clearance or DoD Top Secret clearance Experience with the Risk Management Framework (NIST SP 800-53) Experience in the analysis and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) controls Experience using Security Compliance Checker (SCC) and STIG Viewer tools Extensive experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux based platforms Experience with the application of the RMF to the DoD (DoDi 8500.01 Cybersecurity). Experience with the application of NIST 800-171 (Controlled Unclassified Information). Ability to understand and apply company methodologies, standard, and policies Experience submitting ongoing authorization inputs and artifacts to support certifying authority's ongoing authorization decisions to operate and test decisions Experience performing moderately complex security information technology tasks independently Red Hat Linux Certified System Administrator certification Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
