Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Program Manager 2 (Advanced Radar Program) to join our Delta Systems and Software Configuration 6 (DSSC6) team of qualified, diverse individuals on our E-2D Program. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. The Program Manager 2 will manage the radar program tasks within the DSSC6 IPT and be responsible for: Cost, Schedule and Technical Performance of development program(s) to increase the capabilities of the E-2D platform, including:Directing all phases of the Program from inception through completion Participating in the negotiation of contract and contract changes Coordinating the preparation of future proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contracts. You will be the DSSC6 customer contact to the Navy counterpart, leading program review sessions with the customer to: Discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules Identify program problems and obtains solutions such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications The successful candidate must have a record of achieving successful outcomes by leading diverse technical teams, navigating internal processes, communicating with customers, creating a work environment that engages our employees, managing suppliers, bringing clarity and clear direction to ambiguous situations, excelling in the fundamentals of program management and perceptive use of predictive metrics. To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our "Selecting the Best Qualified Managers" video: www.northropgrumman.com/SQMVideo Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's degree AND 10 years of related professional experience and/or military experience that includes a background in project/program management, OR a Master's degree AND 8 years of related professional experience and/or military experience that includes a background in project/program management. Must have at least 10 years' experience with industry best practices related to the implementation of information security policy and NIST controls. Must have at least 5 years' experience with mission computer, radar, cyber security, and/or information technology protection product lines. Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Active DoD Top Secret clearance Experience overseeing radar software development and test programs Experience in Program Management with radar capability supplier content Experience with DoD industry related risk and opportunity management systems Experience with proposal development and negotiations Experience leading and managing teams supporting DoD Aerospace related programs Strong understanding of DoD Aerospace product engineering processes Experience with acquisitions and proposals Significant experience working with both internal and external customers Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
