The Associate General Counsel Senior Group Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to manage and direct day-to-day legal activities in coordination with the Legal team. The overall objective of this role is to provide legal support, advice and guidance across a broad range of practice areas.Responsibilities:Responsible for providing all-around legal support to the PRIVATE BANK (CPB) business in Latin America.

Responsible for oversight of numerous domestic and cross-border product and service offerings that includes banking, investments, brokerage, lending, wealth structuring, and capital markets.

Provides litigation and regulatory oversight for the businesses managed from the United States, as well as ongoing guidance to the CPB leadership team on complex matters and regulatory interaction

Oversees a team dedicated to CPB matters in the region, coordinating closely with local, country and product counsel, as well as other business functions on franchise, legal, regulatory and operational risks.

Manages global and regional projects that impact CPB Latin America.

Be the CPB legal representative for Lain America on a global product legal committees.

Independently responsible for day-to-day escalations from internal clients and other functions.

Be the primary internal legal coverage on credit transactions relating to CPB Latin America, and the various credit structure types.

Negotiates internal and externally to Citi at a senior level.

Participates on CPB senior level committees and acts as the delegate for the General Counsel of Wealth Management for Latin America.

Represent the Latin America legal team in senior meetings, committees and decision making sessions

Responsible for global or regional support area or visibility to senior Legal managers and General Counsels

Liaise with other control and functional business in support of projects and initiatives

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications:

15+ years of experience

Experience working in corporate legal department, law firm, financial services, consulting, technology firm or related industry

Must possess excellent interpersonal and project management skills, as well as the ability to interact and communicate effectively with Senior management

Knowledge of legal customs/practices

Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry Education: Juris Doctor or LLM Degree; Bar Admission in Florida or New York required. Languages:
