reporting and developing recommendations on data related to multiple, varied
business metrics.Overall
focus will be to improve Health Care Management and Clinical processes,
increase cost savings, and enhance provider experience across Enterprise UM
businesses through automated review and authorization processes using the UM
portal (Interactive Care Reviewer), ACMS UM Intake, and medical management
system (Anthem Care Management Platform – ACMP).Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Responsiblefor working with management to identify and implement varied projects, programsand plans that support achievement of business unit and enterprise goals.Translates basic business needs into application software requirements.
Responsiblefor serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complexbusiness needs into application software.
Creates and maintains databasesto track business performance.
Analyzes data and summarizesperformance using summary statistical procedures.
Develops and analyzes businessperformance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) andprovides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
Creates and publishes periodicreports, makes necessary recommendations, and develops ad hoc reports asneeded.
May require taking business issueand devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking datathat will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
Area Specific Requirements
Current unrestricted Nursing License (RN preferred)
Expertise in Health Care Management processes
Knowledge of Government Business desired
Knowledgeable about Interactive Care Reviewer (ICR), ACMS UM Intake System, and UM Medical Management System (Anthem Care Management Platform - ACMP)
Knowledge of Utilization Management Decision Engine (UMDE) is preferred
Excellent communication skills, and experience with presentations and meeting facilitation, both internally and externally
Expertise with SharePoint, Excel, Word, Visio and Power Point
Experience in User Acceptance Testing; Creating and executing test cases; Comprehensive end to end testing, and validating system meets functional and non-functional requirements
Enjoys collaborating with members of an interdependent team
Self-directed
Experience in working closely with IT
Knowledge of Agile and SAFe to define, build, prioritize work within a continuous delivery pipeline
Experience in database structures, standard query and reporting tools, data analysis and interpretation; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Requires a BS/BA degree in related field
2-4 years related operational and/or data analysis experience; experience in database structures, and standard query and reporting tools; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
This job is more focused on technical expertise and analysis as compared to the Business Information Analyst I job.
Business Information Analyst Senior
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field
3-5 years data analysis or related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required. Ability to manipulate large sets of data is also required.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
This job is focused on complex and varied metrics, making recommendations and providing assistance to staff as compared to the Business Information Analyst II job.
Business Information Consultant
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field; minimum of 5 years’ experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required. Ability to manipulate large sets of data.
Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills.
This job is more focused on higher level technical expertise, mentoring staff in lower job levels, more customer facing, higher level of collaboration, work is higher volume and/or higher risk, and modeling as compared to the Business Information Analyst Senior job.
