LabCorp is currently seeking a Business/Project Analyst for a large hospital laboratory in Miami, Florida. This analyst will oversee financial planning, cost analysis, budgeting, reporting, and revenue & cost analytics. In addition, there will be oversight of equipment management, some project management and vendor management.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Support the Laboratory Director directly within a reporting and analytical capacity
  • Responsible for monthly financial reporting including performance vs budget and proforma analysis
  • Complete staffing plan presentations and various financial projects as requested by leadership
  • Assist with business initiatives and tools based on methodologies to support cost reduction
  • Complete variance analysis of business performance and compare monthly reporting
  • Maintain and present financial reporting for the hospital system of 12 locations
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget, forecasts and ad-hoc analysis for the laboratory
  • Regular and ongoing coordination and assistance with the Divisional Finance Manager
  • Responsible for maintaining the equipment lists throughout the hospital system
  • Ensure all the contract and maintenance expirations dates are accurately recorded and maintained
  • Performa a variety of administrative tasks as requested by leadership
  • Bachelor's degree is required; preferably in a business related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant financial analysis experience
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • General understanding of analyzing cost efficiencies and cost reductions
  • Possess a strong understanding of inventory and expense management
  • Must understand staffing models and productivity improvement
  • Working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems; Proficient in PeopleSoft a plus
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Flexibility to handle multiple financial assignments simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational, time management and presentation skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Highly responsive with a strong sense of urgency
  • Familiarity with healthcare or laboratory operations is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
