OverviewThe Commerce Financials Services empowers commerce scenarios across all dimensions of Microsoft including Azure, Office, and Gaming for both Consumer and Commercial customers. We build the services that transform commerce activities into revenue - the money Microsoft puts in the bank. Drive design, requirements engineering, scrum execution, and technical discussions
Architect platform capabilities keeping reusability, scalability, and adoption in mind.
Define estimates, roadmaps and contribute to strategy elements – from ideation to articulation to delivery.
Write highly efficient clean code that can process large amounts of transactions with low latency and high reliability.
Design and implement cloud-based distributed systems load balanced over hot/warm/cold storage solutions.
Detail design of the E2E solution -Utilize reference architecture in project design work.
Enhance the project capabilities by continuous improvements & innovation, develop strong partnership with business and other groups, globally & ensure both excellence in design and delivery.
Support Domain Architects in the definition of solution and technology roadmaps and industry standards.
Participate in On Call and Site Reliability rotations to support live sites and drive engineered solutions to improve customer experiences.
Learn with and as appropriate, lead the team in adopting relevant new technologies, tools, methods, and processes that progressively advance our services’ capabilities to its different stakeholders.
Provide critical thinking, technical innovation, and attention to detail while serving as a trusted advisor in the organization.
Gain understanding of Microsoft businesses and the varied processes along with their outcomes and collaborate with all stakeholders to contribute to a cohesive set of capabilities built to deliver frictionless experience.
Stay educated on existing, emerging technologies and deliver POCs to evaluate technology development towards service modernization and capabilities enhancements.
Collaborate effectively with other teams and disciplines and drives improvements in engineering at the org level.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications5+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping large-scale, high performance, scalable systems, and services.
The ideal candidate is a solid Software Development Engineer with a proven track record of delivering in a feature crew structure.
Experience in Azure technologies (Azure App services, Azure SQL, COSMOS Db, etc.)
Preferred QualificationsA strong technical background and solid foundation in software engineering principles and architecture design. Alternatively, in depth knowledge of Azure technologies capabilities, architecture, and deployment.
Self-motivation and proactive attitude – Able to operate independently and true ownership.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
