RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is working with a top info tech firm located in New York, NY and we are in search for a Site Reliability Engineer. This firm is a leading marketing analytics consulting firm that helps Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 clients improve sales and profit by utilizing sophisticated analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts. This role sits in the Information Technology (IT) department. The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for transforming the existing DevOps framework focusing on automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, container orchestration, infrastructure as code, and security while influencing and educating development, IT, product management, and QA teams to adjust to working practices in alignment with modern day technology and delivery approaches. At the core, this role is responsible for offering a wide range of services which are critical for the operation of the firm's cloud infrastructure as well as our primary platform. Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer: The Site Reliability Engineer will evaluate and help resolve a variety of requests coming from various business units Promotion and evangelization of DevOps best practices (CI, CD, automated testing, branching strategy, decoupling, etc.) Site Reliability Engineer will be supporting and maintaining infrastructure across multiple pre-production and production cloud environments (AWS and Azure) Interactions with development teams for task scheduling, clarification, and implementation Focus on automation, maintainability, and security As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be monitor application availability, latency, and overall system healthREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in the field of Computer Science is preferred, otherwise equivalent experience is expected A minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer/Systems Administrator/DevOps supporting development teams In-depth understanding of Linux and Windows OS Strong scripting skills in one or any combination of bash, python, PowerShell Strong knowledge of public cloud administration (AWS and Azure) Hands-on experience with software delivery automation process (CD/CD) leveraging technologies such as Jenkins or similar Knowledge of system configuration tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet Understanding of container platforms such as Docker Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure orchestration tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience administrating and configuring backend database engines such as MongoDB and MySQL Knowledge of basic networking principles within the TCP/IP stack Hands-on experience with Hashicorp suite of products including Nomad, Consul and Vault Excellent understanding of SDLC, patching, releases, and software development at scale Good understanding of the mechanisms of Web-environment architectures approaches Experience with Sumo Logic/Splunk or other log monitoring tools Understanding of vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys or Rapid7 Experience working within the DevOps/Agile framework Good understanding of change management, enterprise standards and enterprise building principlesKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
