Title: Software Development Manager
Location: Miami, FL. Onsite Tuesday through ThursdayAn ICS client is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join their growing team. This position is primarily a management role but there will still be times where you need to jump in and code with your team. Excellent mission statement and a company with a purpose. What you will do:- Provide leadership, direction, and strategy to the software engineering team
- Contribute to technical designs, coding, and code reviews
- Deliver large scale project on-time with high quality and attention to detail and focus on speed
- Manage developer progress provide guidance and assistance as needed
- Collaborate with product team to evaluate estimate and validate requirements
- Collaborate with user experience team to deliver exceptional experiences in the applications
- Drive key process improvement initiatives
- 4+ years of software development background
- 1+ years experience as a manager of individual contributors
- Experience building and operating public administration software a big plus
- Hands on experience with Java, Spring, SQL, relational database design, and microservices
- Experience working with Agile development frameworks
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required OR additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis
- A minimum of 4 years' related work experience as an IT professional and at least two (2) years of people leader experience is required
- Experienced in Agile methodologies and environments
