Ledgent Technology is seeking a
Cloud DevOps Engineer for a remote, full-time opportunity.Only candidates who have currently been working in AWS will be considered. All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.What you will be doing:- Coach application developers on proper techniques for building scalable applications in the micro-services paradigm
- Support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restores different environments
- Operate independently across multiple platforms and applications to understand dependencies
- Assess new tools, technologies, and processes to improve our client's continuous integration environments' speed, efficiency, and scalability
- Leverage modern monitoring tools for producing intuitive monitoring alerts and dashboards
- 7+ years: of related experience
- 2+ years: Programming languages (Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C)
- Proven experience with cloud-based provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and related DevOps technologies, in addition to networking knowledge
- Automating cloud-native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure
- REST services
- NoSQL/SQL databases (MongoDB and PostgreSQL)
- Cloud infrastructure performance, load, and cost optimization
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, Terraform, etc.)
- Experience developing cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy, GitLab)
- Microservices and distributed application architecture (containers, Kubernetes, serverless technology)
- FULL Software Development Lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices
- Monitoring: DataDog, Grafana, Kibana, CloudWatch, Kafka
- Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira)
- Container Platforms (Docker, ECS / Fargate, Kubernetes, Helm)
- AWS (EC2, S3, EBS, Glue, Athena)
- Linux system monitoring and analysis
- GitLab or GitHub
- Networking concepts and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTPS, etc.)
- Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments
- IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, firewall
- Monitoring and log aggregating frameworks (Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, ElastiSearch, Kibana)
- Implementing/designing cloud-native security concepts (DevSecOps, or MLOps)
- AWS Certifications
