Requisition ID: 50839 Title: Compliance Specialist- Transparency Reporting Division: Arthrex, Inc. (US01) Location: Naples, FL. Main Objective: This position will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing Transparency reporting data for submission to the CMS Open Payments program, as well as at the state and global level. This individual will need to evaluate specific transfers of value and determine if they are reportable. Additionally, once they have decided the record is reportable, they will need to determine if the record has completed and accurate information concerning both at the transactional level and payee information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile monthly Transparency reporting. This includes running reports for all related data feeds and working with those responsible departments to address errors and omissions.
  • Prepare communications with department personnel instructing them as to the proper filing needs and requirements
  • Monitor all reporting to ensure reporting is timely. This will include creating summary worksheets to track file uploads through the reporting process.
  • Interact with various operational departments, including Med Ed, Legal, Accounts Payable, Lab Operations Operations, Meetings & Events & Events, etc., to ensure regulatory guidelines are followed and reporting is accurate.
  • Create and administer working reporting guidelines for employees to follow to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Assist in software development efforts with regard to internal and external Transparency reporting applications.
  • Monitor and approve all Agency data uploads, ensuring proper information is captured and reported. Generate feedback when necessary to effectuate change in policy or process.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2 years of experience in Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk, Internal Audit, or similar department required; preferably within the healthcare and/or life sciences and/or biotech industry.
  • Strong writing skills required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
  • Basic accounting knowledge required.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required.
  • Power BI skills preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Decision making capabilities and ability to carry out action plans.
  • Willingness to work with detailed data sets.
Machine, Tools, and/or Software Skills: Computer; PC-based accounting packages; Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook experience required. Prefer prior experience with ERP-based purchasing/accounts payable; SAP experience a plus. Experience in online/internet-based corporate banking/treasury management systems is a plus. Reasoning Ability: Ability to manage daily activities in the Transparency reporting applications, defining problems, correcting errors, collecting data, communicating concepts, training, and issuing guidance. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. The candidate must have the ability to review problems to determine root cause, solutions and action plans. Mathematical Skills Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. Language and Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
