Requisition ID: 50289 Title: Medical Illustrator, Sr. Division: Arthrex, Inc. (US01) Location: Naples, FL Main Objective: Provides technically accurate 2D medical illustrations for all aspects of marketing including brochures, advertisements, surgical techniques, etc. targeted for orthopedic surgeons. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates technically accurate medical illustrations using 3D models and textures. Illustration will be used in Marketing and Medical Education materials targeted for orthopedic surgeons. Materials include surgical techniques, brochures, advertisements, posters, tradeshow graphics, ibooks, etc., based on input of Product Management and Medical Education staff for customer education of products and surgical procedures. Assists to create 3D models, animation and textures using computer graphics software Evaluates and recommends new methods, materials and equipment for use in medical illustration Maintains all files in digital asset management system Mentors and trains new medical illustrators Incidental Duties: The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job. Education and Experience: - Bachelors Degree in medical illustration required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: In-depth knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and medical illustration principles Extensive knowledge of computer graphics software such as Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. 3D Studio Max experience required as applied to illustration. In-depth knowledge of printing process and attention to detail required. Extensive organizational skills, while executing multiple medical illustration projects and priorities Consistently produces high quality illustrations that conform to the Arthrex style according to medical illustration standards. Establishes excellent communication and an in-depth understanding of content, resulting in a quick project turnaround. Effectively follow review/approval process to obtain approvals and incorporate appropriate changes. Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: In-depth knowledge of graphic design principles and computer graphics software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, as well as, 3D Studio Max as applied to illustration. Scanning and digital photography experience helpful. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. Language and Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
