- Lead small-to-mid-sized IT projects and project teams.
- Analyze and recommend solutions, upgrades, and services for streamlining and system improvements.
- Support of hardware/software maintenance to include troubleshooting, installation and upgrades, Tier 3 support.
- Support multiple locations worldwide (domestic and international travel may be required).
- Complete IT operational tasks, project tasks, and end user support duties as assigned.
- Assist with architecture and design of infrastructure solutions and methodology.
- Resolve incidents through effective troubleshooting methodology, Tier 3.
- Maintain accurate updated documentation while performing essential job duties.
- Liaison with vendors, partners, and external resources.
- Assist other analyst with troubleshooting and fulfillment processes.
- Ability to train other staff on technical operations.
- Subject matter expert on the operation, maintenance, management, and deployment of multiple computer infrastructure hardware/software solutions.
- Bachelors degree required.
- 5 years of experience in supporting computer infrastructure hardware, applications, and systems required.
- Computer infrastructure-centered certifications desired
- In-depth knowledge and support of Microsoft Windows Server 2012+ and/or Linux in a mid-to-enterprise scale IT organization required. SUSE Enterprise Linux is a plus.
- Design/deploy/operational administration
- Life-cycle management using tools like WSUS, SCCM, Spacewalk, and SUMA
- Security hardening based on established industry standards
- In-depth knowledge and support of with one or more hypervisor technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and/or AHV required. (Strong preference VMware)
- In-depth knowledge and support of Public Cloud Infrastructure as a Service required. Strong preference for Microsoft Azure.
- Some experience with declarative/automated deployment tools and strategies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- Some experience with Infrastructure Monitoring systems such as SolarWinds, Dynatrace, PRTG, Cacti, etc
- Understanding the concepts inIT Infrastructure fundamentals (below) is required. Direct and hands-on experience with each is a plus, but not required:
- Active Directory, DNS
- LAN/Core Networking
- Security systems and solutions, such as anti-virus, SSO, MFA, etc.
- Enterprise Storage systems (NAS/SAN) such as Netapp or EMC systems
- Data Protection (backup/restore) and/or disaster recovery solutions
- Network-based security solutions and deployment strategies such as Palo Alto, F5, micro-segmentation, etc.
