Manatee Title, Citrus County’s premiere title company, is looking for an experienced Closing Agent who will be responsible for meeting and exceeding our clients' needs through unparalleled customer service.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing title searches performed by one of our two underwriters.
Reviews loan files for completeness and accuracy.
Meets with clients to handle home closing and explain all related documents.
Answers questions requiring title searches, title abstracts, title insurance, escrow accounts or closings.
Order payoff information on existing liens
Calculate and prorate taxes, liens, interest, rents and insurance policies
Arrange for title insurance protection for the buyer and lender
Pay costs and liens as agreed upon by the parties to the transaction
Close the transaction after all instructions from buyer and seller have been satisfied
Prepare a closing statement for the parties to the transaction, showing disposition of funds in the transaction
Arrange for recording of the conveyancing documents and any other legal instruments necessary to transfer title to the property pursuant to the purchase agreement
Reviews all documents for accuracy and compliance with the loan approval. Ensures that loan conditions are met, and that system pricing information is valid.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years residential mortgage loan closing and funding experience.
Experience with construction title a plus
Working knowledge of relevant compliance guidelines for residential real estate lending transactions and secondary markets.
Demonstrated sense of urgency, quality orientation, and strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be self-starter, team-oriented, and goal-driven.
Must have experience with real estate closing software (Closer’s Choice) or be willing to learn, and Microsoft products.
Must live within a commutable distance to Citrus County. ONLY applications with previous real estate closing experience will be considered.
