We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks at our garden center. Plant knowledge a plus!
Administrative Assistant responsibilities include answering phones, taking messages, scheduling meetings & appointments and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate should maintain a professional appearance, have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel, Word and Outlook. Ultimately, a successful Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of an office.

Responsibilities
Answer and direct phone calls
Organize and schedule staff appointments
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Maintain a filing system
Provide general support to visitors
Act as the point of contact for vendors and clients
Liaise with supervisor to handle requests and queries from clients and staff
Requirements
Proven experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant or office admin assistant
Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and scanners
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
