UNIX System Administrator (Senior Unix/Linux Engineer) Position Description We are seeking a UNIX System Administrator (Senior Unix/Linux Engineer) to join our team. The selected candidate will work onsite in Ocoee, FL alongside the project team. Job Description: UNIX Operations team is searching for a senior candidate who is proficient within a LINUX (Red Hat) and UNIX (Solaris) environment. The ideal candidate will have minimum 10+ years of experience within systems administration, along with knowledge of physical infrastructure and hardware such as Dell PowerEdge M/R servers. This candidate will provide Linux/UNIX support for the estate of around 400 servers. We are looking for a good communicator and a problem-solving individual. Responsibility will encompass both operational support of the Linux/UNIX estate, system maintenance (OS patching), and storage migration work where necessary. Job Requirements Essential:

• RedHat Linux 7 administration/patch management.
• Linux Server builds and custom configurations.
• Performance tuning of Oracle database servers on Redhat.
• Solaris 11 administration/patch management.
• LDOM management on T-series hardware.
• Server Security vulnerability management.
• Ansible playbook configuration and development.
• Satellite 6 management and upgrades.
• Ansible tower management and upgrades.
• Good knowledge in NFS, Samba.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix process management.
• Good knowledge of disk management using LVM and ZFS.
• VMware virtualization experience ESX platforms.
• Good Knowledge on automation.
• Good Knowledge on server migrations.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot network, performance, and software issues.
• Strong skills in TCP/IP networking, HTTPS, SFTP, DNS, SNMP, VLAN network topology and firewalled environments.

• Storage management basics.
• Database administration basics.
• Windows administration basics.
• Cloud integration basics.
• Experience performing backup administration using NetBackup, Tivoli, Commvault, Cohesity, or similar technology.
• Good understanding of applications like Git, Informatica, Cognos, Splunk and Client ALM.

• Advanced system tunings to application specific requirements. Systems standardization and automation.
• Keeping the UNIX environment compliant with the technology roadmap, such as OS & hardware upgrades, 3rd party software upgrades.
• Work on incident tickets and resolve in a timely manner.
• Remediate Secunia OS vulnerabilities as required by regular security audits.
• Perform quarterly patching of RedHat and Solaris servers to ensure systems are compliant

• and pass strict PCI security requirements as dictated by regular audits from security team.

• Interface with IT and business clients at all levels of the organization.
• Rotating on-call Unix/Linux support in a 24X7 environment.
• Participate in evaluation and POC of new backup, storage, and server infrastructure.
• Research and development of new technology as required by business initiatives and

• management vision.

• Ability to cross train other infrastructure team members.
• Documentation and creating SOP.

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience
