AV Project Engineer We are seeking an AV Project Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will work onsite in Ocoee, FL alongside the project team for the first six months and afterwards may be allowed some days to work remotely. Position Summary: Responsible for designing and developing Audio Visual software or hardware products. Individuals must have Crestron systems programming experience. Understands business and customer requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions. Participates in all phases of the Audio-Visual room, platform, and resource lifecycle, including the analysis, design, test, and integration of products. Develops design specifications and parameters that follow the Audio-Visual products architectural bluour clientnts. Performs Research, evaluates, and incorporates new technology and tools to enhance Audio Visual experience. Resolves customer complaints with products and responds to suggestions for improvement and enhancements. Assist in the development of product user manuals. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to design, engineer, prototype, stage, assemble, integrate, install, test, document, and sustain Video Teleconferencing equipment and interconnecting infrastructure.
  • Must have established Crestron systems programming experience.
  • Provide support and programming knowledge to change control systems programming for Extron, Crestron, and various DSP Audio systems that we have in place, such as Polycom.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure, work on newly received quotes, and find a balance for a solution that will try to mostly use existing equipment by upgrading at minimal cost and maximum return.
  • Responsible for documenting solutions and processes to Technology issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining Inventory asset management.
  • Responsible for reading and following the Department s Procedures and Policies
  • Responsible for tracking incidents in the service desk ticketing systems.
  • Provides technical assistance and training to staff, specifically with the audio-visual equipment in the conference rooms.
  • Answers inquiries concerning audio-visual equipment, including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, connecting wires, and cables.
  • Works with Audio Visual equipment companies as needed for advancer resolution.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and repair equipment used to enhance events, such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, and sound mixing equipment.
  • Analyze and transform operational and functional needs into solutions while remaining compliant with regulations, policies, and procedures; document description of system parameters and integrate those parameters to optimize the overall solution effectiveness and efficiency.
  • General IP Networking knowledge, including layer 2 & 3 routings.
  • Travel for supporting Turnpike events, shows, and conferences as assigned
  • Travel to customers for investigation of issues and equipment maintenance as assigned
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned
  • Works safely with the individual and other people; follows safety rules and safe working practices; uses safety equipment as required.
  • Ability to lift to 25 pounds
  • Flexibility to work hours between 7:00 AM to & 6:00 PM Monday through Friday with after-hours on-call rotation assistance in the evenings and weekends. Also, remain flexible to work other hours as assigned for business continuity.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Extensive Knowledge of Crestron, Biamp, Extron, Logitech, Polycom & Cisco equipment
  • Crestron, Extron, and CTS-I certifications
  • Must be able to design, engineer, prototype, stage, assemble, integrate, install, test, document, and sustain Video Teleconferencing equipment and interconnecting infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of multiple Virtual Meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, and Adobe Connect.

Dimensions: Education:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related fields. Or equivalent work experience.
  • Crestron Certified Master Programmer Certification Required.
  • Crestron DMC-D or higher certification is strongly preferred.
Experience:
  • Typically has 4 to 6 years of high-tech industry, product engineering, and/or IT work experience.
Complexity:
  • Works independently or on a team.
  • 20% Travel
