Job Responsibilities
Coordinating and managing carpentry crew members in an efficient manner
Building structures for residential, business, and construction sites.
Manage demolition work.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, nail guns, saws, and other tools as directed by management.
Clean and prepare construction sites as needed.
Read blueprints and designs.
Cut timber and lumber to specified dimensions.
Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations to management.
Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.
Load and unload construction supplies from trucks.
Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim molding, patio decks, etc.
Travel to and from job sites in and around the Walton county region as directed by management.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in carpentry work (IMPORTANT!)
Minimum of one year or more in a foreman position managing a construction crew
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from the job
Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials
Ability to effectively communicate with and delegate work tasks to laborers to ensure quality and speed
A positive, problem-solving attitude
Demonstrated skill in carpentry and management
Drug free; must be willing to submit to drug testing
Dependability, trustworthiness, integrity
Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent
