Hickman Transport Co, Inc. is a contractor with the US Postal Service. Our trucks carry the mail from Pensacola, FL to various postal facilities in the Central Florida Panhandle. Presently, we are searching for a Driver to operate a route dropping mail at US postal facilities in Bonifay, Chipley, and Marianna.
Route operations begin at 3:50pm in Marianna, FL collecting mail from postal faculties on route to Pensacola, FL. After arrival in Pensacola, FL the Driver will have a short layover period, during this layover period the Driver can get some sleep if they choose at the company provided Driver quarters. The route begins again at 1:45am at the Pensacola main distribution hub where it collects mail to be distributed to Bonifay, Chipley and finally Marianna. The Driver route ends in Marianna at 5:00am. The route is dedicated, with the same schedule and stops each day. Route operations run six days a week (Monday-Saturday).
Equipment utilized for this route is a Class 6 Box Truck, therefore, the position is open for all license classes. However, experience operating and backing a Box Truck is required. In addition, the successful applicant should be able to pass a Federal Background check and have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
This is an hourly pay position, paying $24.59 per hour. Benefits include 10 paid holidays and paid vacation time after one year of service.
