As a Costuming Cast Member you will issue costumes at multiple locations in warehouse environments across the Walt Disney World property. The Costuming Cast Member will have knowledge of proper wear of over 200 types of costumes across property. The Costuming Cast Member will check and ensure that the quality of the costumes are maintained and load and unload costumes. As the Costuming Cast Member you will also have the opportunity to assist performers in our shows and parades.Costume Hosts and Hostesses receive a starting rate of $15.00/hour.Responsibilities :
Engage with Cast by addressing needs, answering questions, giving directions concerning the location and proper wear of over 200 costumes
Ensure quality of costumes is maintained
Sort and organize costumes
Prolonged standing during peak operational hours
Operate a computerized system to issue costumes to Cast Members
Flexible with work schedule, including overtime, weekends and holidays
Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
Basic Qualifications :
Valid driver’s license
Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and kneeling
Willing to work at various heights
Computer proficiency and ability to navigate between multiple and concurrent computer applications
Good communication skills
Part Time roles require full availability for any shift, a MINIMUM of three (3) days per week, including nights and holidays
Full Time roles require Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual
Experience with costuming issue or costuming repair
Experience working with costumes in theatre or show production
Additional Information :SCHEDULE AVAILABILTYOur Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am.
