Job Title: Data Architect/Technical Architect

JOB SUMMARYA Technical Architect defines and owns the technical architecture of systems to deliver business objectives while ensuring quality standards. They are responsible for high-level requirement gathering, consulting, design, development, and review of the technical architecture as per business requirements. They enable the creation of designs and frameworks for models and validate their adherence with the overall architecture. They also help create performance benchmarks of the system and establish best practices.

Responsibilities for the Data Architect include:

• Overall data design and modeling across all of the organizations data systems, especially for major data platforms (data warehouses, data lakes, master data management).

• Data management responsibilities across multiple data systems: data governance, data mastering, metadata management, data definitions, semantic-layer design, taxonomies, etc.

• Architecting and delivering highly scalable and flexible, yet cost effe ctive, enterprise data solutions.

• Architects the future state solution for projects, leveraging existing platforms where appropriate.

• Establish the technology strategy and roadmaps for the portfolio of data platforms and services across the organization.

• Data security and compliance.

• Designing and documenting data architecture at multiple levels (high-level to detailed) and across multiple views (conceptual, logical, physical, data flow, and sequence diagrams).

• Providing active #hands- on# architectural guidance and leadership through the entire lifecycle of development projects.

• Translating business requirements into conceptual and detailed technology

SPECIALIZATIONWe work on modernizing the on-premises legacy data warehouses to cloud based data warehouse solutions like AWS RedShift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, and Snowflake. We work on migrating on-premises MPP systems like Teradata, Greenplum, Netezza, and Exadata to cloud data warehouse and scale them by using distributed computing solutions on the cloud. We have dedicated Center of Excellences (CoEs) on key technology platforms including Business Objects, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft BI, Informatica, MicroStrategy, SAS, MDM, Big Data and Opensource.
