DescriptionDesign, configure, program, model, implement and maintain the operational elements, tasks and functionality for the corporate data warehouse. Perform administration, programming and maintenance on SQL Servers supporting the data warehouse. Assist with software and special projects for implementation, execution and reporting that are associated to the data warehouse.Requirements Data Warehouseo Review/Update designs, codes, test plans and documentation to ensure qualityo Provide troubleshooting and support for the data warehouseo Prepare and maintain up to date functional and technical documentation for the data warehouseo Verify the structure, accuracy and quality of the warehouse datao Participate in researching, recommending, implementing, testing and revising of the methods, techniques and criteria for data warehousing evaluative procedureso Perform system analysis, data analysis and programming, using a variety of computer languages and procedures including and not limited to SQL Server SSIS, SSRS and Microsoft Power BIo Map data between source systems and the data warehouseo Configure, program and implement business rules via stored procedures, middleware and other technologieso Develop, coordinate and implement data extraction procedures from other systemso Develop or maintain standards, such as organization, structure, or nomenclature, for the design of data warehouse elements, such as data architectures, models, tools and databaseso Design, revise, update and implement warehouse database structureso Create plans, test files, and scripts for data warehouse testing, ranging from unit to integration to compliance testingo Create or implement metadata processes and frameworks as well as the associated documentation (data dictionary)o Develop data warehouse process models and views including sourcing, loading, transformation, extraction and presentation SQL Server Administration – Data Warehouse Serverso Maintain, administer, assess and upgrade all aspects of the SQL environment for the data warehouse for both the development and production serverso Add/Terminate/Modify users within the layer of the data warehouse as well as the servero Design, implement and operate comprehensive tuning of the systems to ensure balance optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors to meet associate needs and requirements Generalo Test software systems or applications for software enhancements or new productso Develop and maintain an understanding of the Company and departments structures and core business in order to proactively work with other associates to determine reporting, dashboard and alerting needs and create workable, efficient and effective solutionso Maintain the operational health and systems and reporting procedures documentationo Assist with new software implementations and upgrades, special projects and new initiatives as requiredo Must maintain work accuracy and timely completion of all taskso Compliance with company policies and proceduresIf interested in learning more, please send an updated resume to erik.little@rht.comTechnology doesn't change the world.
