Our client in the insurance industry is in need of a Senior Salesforce Developer. This is a contract position that operates onsite in their Downtown Orlando, Florida office. Candidates must have insurance industry experience to be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who have development and salesforce administration experience. Responsibilities:- Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports
- Develop Apex (classes and triggers to extend Salesforce to support business requirements
- Custom User Interface development and Lightning Web Components
- Integrations: Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used in the organization
- Best Practices: Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development
- Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code
- Collaborating with IT / Developers for other systems to integrate across the business
- BS or MS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other relevant degree
- Strong Salesforce [Sales, Financial Services] product knowledge
- 7+ years of Salesforce development and administration experience
- Certified Salesforce Platform Developer and Administrator
- Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning Design System, and the Salesforce development lifecycle
- Insurance industry experience a plus
- Active in the Salesforce community
- Able to work independently
- Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders / other Salesforce team members
- In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Sales Force application with good understanding of the business processes (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, etc.)
- Advanced Salesforce user and administrator skills (including using permissions, roles, profile, queues, security setup, views, and page layouts)
- Experience implementing and developing in Apex, LWC, and Java,
- General web development experience with HTML, CSS, Java Script,
- A proactive attitude to Salesforce enhancements and bringing existing code into best practices,
- Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications,
- Soft skills: the ability to gather requirements and present solutions to stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of the underlying Data model and Data Architecture, Configuration, Apex coding, Web Services and Data Management
