A Software Engineer in this group will help guide the creation, installation, and support for systems in our attractions. We work closely with internal partners to deliver world-class guest experiences with interactive systems across Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Lines. You will report to Team Lead, Attractions Systems. Responsibilities/You Will Have
- You will develop several next-generation proprietary Disney software packages that use primary cloud and web-based technologies
- You will develop code that is modular, efficient and scalable
- You will develop back-end components
- You will coordinate with front-end developers
- You will integrate data storage solutions
- You will integrate user-facing elements into applications
- You will test and debug programs
- 5+ years experience in Python based application development
- 2+ years experience with MLops task orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Kubeflow, MLflow, Luigi, etc)
- Knowledge of Software Development Life cycle and QA processes
- Knowledge of software design patterns
- Experience with revision control systems such as GitHub and GitLab
- Experience with using and setting up CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL databases
- Experience with SNOW
- Experience with .NET frameworks
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Experience in cloud deployment in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
- Experience with Atlassian Tools such as Jira & Confluence
- Experience with Agile development methods
- Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous development
- Experience in monitoring and data visualization with ELK/Splunk and Plotly
