Job Description: Associate Project Manager
We here at SMCI are currently looking to an Associate Project Manager for our client partner in Orlando. This role will be responsible for coordinating and partnering with various development teams across the organization to ensure campaign execution of advertising programs.
The Associate Project Manager will also serve as an individual contributor in identifying process improvements and partnering with internal resources in developing and automating reporting needs. This includes collaborating with smaller groups to analyze workflows, contribute in development of effective processes, and assist management in training.
Responsibilities:
Manages focus of development project activities for one or more assigned projects - Web Applications
Facilitates daily Agile standup meetings, removes roadblocks
Facilitates sprint planning meetings and monitors sprint execution
Develops project plans and ensure optimal quality of project delivery
Identifies and documents issues. Works with project team to resolve issues
Identifies and mitigates risks
Controls project scope by aligning with stakeholders
Documents actions items and verifies they're completed
Prepares schedules and maintain both JIRA and MS Project Plans
Prepares weekly project status reports and other documentation
Coordinates and schedules meetings and onsite activities
Facilitates project meetings. Ensures agenda and minutes are published
Manages deployments
Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required
Bachelors degree in Business, Project Management, MIS, Computer Science, or related area
Iterative development experience
3+ years of experience interfacing with external clients in a project management role (IT/Software)
External client experience in running and managing projects and financial profitability
Experience in implementing projects from inception to completion for small, mid-size and large companies
PMP or CSM Certification is also desirable
Preferred for a minimum of 2 years experience in the travel and tourism industry highly desiredRequired Skills: AGILE; JIRA; .NET; ASP. Don't hesitate! Submit your resume today.
