We currently have an opportunity for a Windows Systems Administrator Qualifications: • 8-10 years' experience in IT or related field • College degree from accredited institution preferred • Expert knowledge of MS Windows server and workstation operating systems • Expert knowledge of virtual machine design best practices, management and troubleshooting (MS Hyper-V, VMware & Nutanix AOS) • Expert knowledge of security best practices; compliance experience is a plus (CIPS, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) • Expert knowledge of workstation and server build best practices & hardening guidelines • Expert knowledge of IT& OT networking concepts including routers, firewalls, wireless, and security best practices • Familiarity with OT Power Systems (RTUs, DCSs, etc. • Familiarity with OT communications protocols • Familiarity with OSIsoft PI system and associated application suite is a plus • Familiarity with Alstom e-terraplatform • Familiarity with network & patch panel wiring, server room design & maintenance • Basic knowledge of web sites and web design • Multitask and effectively triage support issues • Support users of all skill levels, backgrounds and job duties • Thorough and precise troubleshooting of networks, applications and computers; document troubleshooting steps • Learn new applications, systems and business processes quickly through classroom teaching or self-study • Easily adapt to variable or changing requirements and user needs • Accomplish tasks and goals with minimal supervision • Clear and concise writing of system documentation, knowledge base articles, FAQs and user guides • Clearly communicate to users and management about issues, upgrades and new systems • Work with all departments to support and maintain applications • Requires ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds • Requires ability to do work on a four-foot ladder • Requires ability to do work under desks • Requires ability to use tools & manipulate, assemble and disassemble computer equipment Responsibilities: • Manage company IT & OT server infrastructure; apply patches and perform upgrades as needed • Manage company IT & OT applications including changes, upgrades, fixes and user requests • Manage and optimize company IT & OT networks, network devices & WAN connections • Manage and optimize OT Power Systems; Hardware and software configurations, upgrades & approved changes • Create and update IT & OT system, application and network documentation; following proper control standards for CIPS information • Responsible for the implementation of IT& OT policies and procedures with a focus on physical and logical security & compliance (CIPS) • Works with IT team members & vendors to support users, maintain servers and applications and optimize all resources for maximum value to the business • Respond to user issues and requests; record solutions in IT Ticketing system • Plan for and deploy new hardware for IT& OT in a consistent manner; including workstations, laptops & cell phones; develop and update build & support procedures & standards • Create, write and present proposals for IT solutions and applications as part of the annual budget cycle • Other duties as required Our benefits package includes: • Comprehensive Medical Benefits • Competitive Pay, 401K • Retirement Plan • And Much More About TekPartners: TekPartners is one of the fastest growing private staffing firms in the United States.
