Peraton is seeking a Drafter to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in our Panama City Beach, FL office. The preferred candidate will provide drafting and Computer Aided Drawings (CAD) support for required studies, analysis, research, and development to advance designs and prototype systems for unmanned weapons and weapons control systems. The selected candidate will support Orientation Design Reviews (ODR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) for each unmanned prototype system that is developed. In addition, all technical documentation (engineering products, logistics products, schematics, drawings, lists, etc.) must be prepared for government review, and subsequent government approval.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create 3D and/or modeling drawings for new projects using Solidworks or like software
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD or like software
  • Organize supporting information to produce bills of materials and product manuals
  • Help establish / maintain company's standards for CAD techniques
  • Assist Engineers as needed to develop new designs and detailed drafting
  • Coordinate with supervisors and project managers as necessary

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 0 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree in drafting from technical school or (3) years of drafting experience in lieu of degree or HS degree and 6 years of relevant experience
  • 0-3 years of experience drafting
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in drafting from technical school
  • 3-5 years of experience in Drafting services
  • Accredited AutoCAD Certification(s)
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with Unmanned Systems
