A drug screen and criminal background check is required. Equal opportunity employer The Operations Engineer, RF II is the primary interface between Engineering and Operations. This role is responsible for the TS analysis on design, TS audit, and re-design actions as necessary to meet operations KPI's. This role is part of a centralized escalation point for operations regarding all satellite, networking, product issues and network management.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Install, operate, and maintain global EOIP networks. (VSAT, TDMA and SCPC)
  • Maintain and monitor carrier networks and relationships.
  • Monitor and troubleshooting tools; IPSLA, packet generators and capture.
  • Manage complex transport system hardware and software architectures.
  • Maintain clarity and professionalism in the process of producing documentation and procedures.
  • Proactive team player able to delegate to junior team members, complete assigned tasks under strict deadlines and possess a can-do attitude.
  • Provide best form of action to a highly diversified global team responsible for the greater network health and welfare.
  • Review and recommends technical solutions at all levels to fulfil for the implementation of new product designs.
  • Receive specialist level (GSA & GDC) escalations for incident analysis and resolution within contracted SLA's.
  • Other related tasks as may be assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 Years of hands-on industry experience.
  • BA or BS in a technical field or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of RF systems and general RF network theory desired.
  • VSAT: iDirect and Baseband systems experience required.
  • VSAT: iDirect IOM, and BHI, highly desired.
  • Linux certifications: Redhat and MySQL desired.
  • Fluent knowledge and hands on experience of iDirect technology, servers, protocol processors, line cards, MODEMSs as well as other MODEM technologies, cisco devices, and services desired.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and successfully with high-level general guidance as well as being able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to explain complex subject matter in simple but accurate terms in English.
  • Ability to review and recommend technical solutions at all levels in order to fulfil the implementation of new product designs.
  • Ability to work under pressure with aggressive deadlines.
  • Must be able to perform assigned responsibilities immediately upon employment.
