Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing the project-specific QA/QC plan that incorporates the policies and procedures necessary to deliver the project fully compliant with the contract documents.
The work location is in Pensacola, Florida. This position is contingent on the award of the contract.
The budget salary for this position is $80,000-140,000 per annum depending on the level of experience.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure that the NAVFAC construction work areas are within the contract agreement and standards of the government
Examine the whole facility during regular work hours and two hours after the regular work hours
Supervise the Quality Control functions/activities of the project, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records
Assess the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site
Conduct preparatory QC meetings and daily field QC inspections
Support and participate to all the internal/external audits.
Provide necessary reports to be submitted to all stakeholders
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Must have an active secret clearance
Must have a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Must have seven years of combined experience as a Superintendent, Project Manager or Project Engineer on similar size and complexity to the critical power installed at Naval Communications Facilities
At least three years as a QCM
Completed and maintained the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course
Knowledgeable on USACE EM385-1-1 and experienced in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance and sustainability
Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
