Basic Purpose Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant for Pega platform. This role is responsible for strategy, research, design, and implementation to ensure decisions made support platform scalability and flexibility for future growth. This Principal will interact/coordinate with COE architects, cloud infrastructure team, security team and other IT teams to install, configure instances, upgrades, hotfixes and manage Azure DevOps CICD pipeline and ensure efficient operations for Pega platform including Pega CDH. The candidate will participate in scrum/agile release train/PI planning meetings and must be able to adapt to change. They will focus on value-based delivery with minimal day-to-day direction.

Responsibilities: • Lead the L3 platform support to plan/implement upgrades, hotfixes, and manage the sanctity and performance of the Pega platform including Pega CDH instance in all environments• Lead update and upgrade for Pega Platform to address security incidents/concerns and risks by coordinating with different stakeholders.• Lead the L3 platform support and L3 support for Pega applications responding to end users for Incidents and Problems for multiple applications with primary focus on triage leadership for all business impacts• Manage and guide other team members to manage Azure/ Pega CICD pipelines• Actively identify/escalate and voice and mitigate risks for the platform • Provide guidance for L3 support functions for Pega applications responding to end users for Incidents and Problems for multiple applications with primary focus on triage leadership for all business impacts• Ensure compliance with corporate Incident, Problem and Change Management Practices, standards and procedures• Coordinate cross-functional dependencies and deliverables for impacted business and technology groups• Interact with stakeholders at all levels as needed including delivery organizations, infosec, infrastructure teams, architects, and COE team • Coordinate with Pega Support Center to drive issues to resolution • Provide guidance for L3 support functions for Pega applications responding to end users for Incidents and Problems for multiple applications with primary focus on triage leadership for all business impacts• Interact with stakeholders at all levels as needed including delivery organizations, infosec, infrastructure teams, architects, and COE team • Ensure functioning of the lower environments and the production environment with a view to maintain stability and control• Provide platform and application support in accordance with standard guidelines within the agreed SLAs• Partner with infrastructure support teams to resolve issues • Review service trends, identify themes, communicate risk and implement technical solutions• Monitor performance trends, system stability and plan/implement actions

Qualifications:• 10 plus years of experience in technical production services role supporting technical platform administration, Incident and Problem Management• Significant background supporting applications that incorporate extensive PEGA service & data Integrations across multiple technologies• Expertise in ITIL Service Operations including Incident, Problem, & Alert Management• At least 4 years of experience working with/supporting Pega based applications• Should be able to train team members on PEGA application and incidents handling• Strong knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and PRPC design and implementation features• Strong understanding and experience on Pega Application packaging, security, rulesets, portals, reports, and other Pega OOTB tools• Pega Certified System/Senior System Architect Experience with DevOps (CI-CD) in a Pega environment, especially continuous integration and deployment• Proven experience with Pega tools such as AES, SMA, Admin Studio, PAL and CI/CD Pipeline• Extensive Debugging Skills in PRPC using TRACER, Clipboard and Rules Inspector• Expertise in server monitoring, agents monitoring and node management• Experience analyzing log files and reports from application sources• Prior experience with a variety of web technologies, including, J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, JDBC, Java), XML, JavaScript• Experience working with J2EE Application Servers (preferably WebSphere, WebLogic and Tomcat) and/or relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL, Oracle, DB2, and UDB)• Experience with configuration of applications specific requirements on Application/WebServer (such as JDBC, JMS, Web Services, SSL, High Availability, Session Management, Security, Service Integration Bus etc.)• Knowledge of middleware tools/consoles & protocol-based integrations such as MQ, JMS, REST, SOAP.• Knowledge of available azure cloud services for PaaS, and Self-Hosted, or hybrid approach• Knowledge of best practices for TKS/ AKS business continuity and disaster recovery Experience with monitoring tools such as SPLUNK, Log analytics• Skilled in building relationships across various levels within the organization• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, including poise under stress• Flexible to on-call rotation needs, open to work in shifts including weekend coverage as per needs

Education:• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related field• Senior System Architect Certification (CSSA)

Salary: $109,900 - $187,900

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month.
