Basic Purpose Seeking a Performance Test Engineer to support performance testing for agile projects that manage development and deployments using Azure DevOps. The candidate will support performance testing using Micro Focus Performance Center and other tools such as NeoLoad. The candidate will collaborate with DevOps engineers, developers, and network and cloud engineers to plan, design, and develop performance tests in support of DevOps and Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines. The candidate will ensure all testing complies with Navy Federal policies, system requirements, standards, and best practices. The candidate will manage test planning and test cases using Azure Test Plans and will be responsible for testing web application User Interfaces, APIs, and participating in the development of performance test frameworks.

Required Skills:• Conduct performance engineering and testing activities for cloud, web-based, and client-server applications, and REST API and web services.• Experience in understanding non-functional requirements and designing test strategy and design.• Hand on performance testing experience with large scale on-premises and cloud native applications.• Significant experience performance testing with VuGen scripting and Performance Center. • Hands on experience in web services testing including REST APIs.• Experience creating LoadRunner scripts using protocols such as web/HTTP/HTML and web services. • Experience in using web services and REST API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.• Collaborate with delivery teams, developers, and testing teams to build integrated Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.• Experience with monitoring tools such as CA APM, New Relic, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, DataDog, and AppInsights.• Experience with log monitoring tools such as Splunk.• Prior experience configuring performance testing in a CI/CD pipeline (Azure DevOps classic and release pipelines, Jenkins, or AWS Code pipelines)• Experience in monitoring architectural components of systems under test (e.g., client-side analysis, web, application, database and network layers).

Desired Skills: • Experience with NeoLoad, JMeter, or similar tools.• Experience in programming languages such as C, C, or Java• Selenium - High level • SQL Queries - High level• AWR Report Analysis• JVM Internals (e.g., Garbage Collection)• Linux Commands• Client-side analysis Tools (WebPageTest, Google Lighthouse, Sitespeed.io)

Salary: $83,100 to $142,000 Annual Salary
