Learn techniques of the old masters and impressionist painters while being an apprentice to a classically trained painter.
About me: 35 year old artist. I am a live event painter at weddings. I studied at the art students league of New York and took workshops under Steven Assael and workshops with Dan Thompson, the president of Studio Incaminati in Philly.
This is an unpaid assistant position. Tasks include helping me organize the studio, modeling from time to time, split model fees and paint along side me with instruction.
I want this to be a good friendship first off. And I would like to help the person learn to paint and draw the figure and portrait. this is not going to be hours and hours of work. I’m essentially offering free art classes and looking for someone to paint with me with my instruction. This will give me an opportunity to practice teaching. many times I hire a model and I would like to ask that the person split a model fee on those days.
You are not obligated to come to any painting sessions you don’t want to. This is a situation where you get out of it what you put in.
