Software developer capable of software code development in C, performing software design approach trade studies, code reviews of existing software (primarily in Ada), and development of software design documentation for multiple code modules that are part of the Mirage ADTE equipment.
Software Development: Ability to develop Software using the C language. Experience with Wind River VxWorks 7.x Operating Systems, preferred. Software Requirements & Architecture Development: Review systems requirements and the proposed hardware and software architectures to verify that proposed approaches will meet the intended requirements. This may include doing simulations, analysis, code reviews, and developing sample applications in mockup environments to produce evidence that the proposed approach will meeting the intended requirements. Ability to proficiently program in C is critical. Ability to understand Ada is preferred. Software/Hardware Integration: Work with the electrical and FPGA engineers to integrate developed software onto the target hardware platform. Software Code Reviews: Review existing software code modules to extract software requirements from them. Also review the code for its ability to meet the systems and functional requirements. Proficiency in C software language is essential to this task. Ability to read and understand Ada software language is also required. Functional Architecture Development: Work across the disciplines (Hardware, software, systems, etc.) to develop a functional architecture that meets all of the functional requirements of various ADTE SW modules. Collaborate with global, multi-disciplinary team members of systems, software, FPGA design, and mechanical engineers. Experience is 5+ years.
