Please note this is a 13 month contract position.Please note that candidates for this position must have 1 year minimum SAP experience and 1-2 years procurement experience.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares purchase orders for the timely and economical purchase of goods and services with regard for quality and delivery. Provides tactical buying support and ensures compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Reviews quotes received from suppliers and collaborates with other staff members to determine best option. Uses log to identify possible sources/suppliers for requested items.
  • Troubleshoots minor discrepancies pertaining to purchase orders, requisitions, supplier deliveries, prices and quality. Provides feedback on designated supplier base to facilitate decisions regarding consolidation and supplier replacement.
  • Maintains continuous supply of raw materials. Purchase Order management (cost and delivery). Uses appropriate business systems within company to complete daily tasks. Creates and/or revises procedures, specifications and/or work instructions as required.
  • Insures internal and external customers are central to all decision making within the supply chain through the following: Ability to Build and Maintain Supplier Relationships. Supports Materials Management, Manufacturing and QRC on projects that are impacted by, or to the MTS supply chain (projects may include qualifying new materials, cost reductions, quality improvements, etc.)
  • Responsible to review accounting mismatch reports weekly and resolve any accounting discrepancies prior to 45 days past due. Responsible to process supplier Non-Conformance(s) within 60 Days (includes obtaining root cause investigations and disposition of product).
  • Places non-inventory purchase orders for gel card manufacturing based on min/max inventory levels identified by manufacturing.
  • Responsible to back up Distribution Handler position.
  • Attends EH&S Meetings and informs Materials Management team.
  • Advocate for a safe work environment and responsible for personal safety and the safety within the Materials Management Team/Warehouse.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Generally requires 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Complies with mandatory company training requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of cost accounting (PPV, Standard Cost Setting, Accounts Payable resolutions).
  • Familiarity with 21CFR Part 820 (FDA Regulations), cGMPs, ISO 9001 standards and EHS Management System.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability; ability to prioritize within a changing business environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, demonstrate a sense of urgency, and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Prioritization, time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on projects across departments.
  • Ability to use several different purchasing and inventory control computer systems such as SAP CRD, Sage 50, and ARIBA.
  • One-year minimum SAP experience.
  • Ability to analyze a production schedule and determine raw material requirements on purchased items.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel programs.
  • Ability to physically review quantity of on hand inventory (KanBan locations) and may be required to push, pull, lift and/or carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Knowledge of Quality Information Systems (Trackwise, Windchill, cGMP’s.)
EDUCATION:
  • Associates Degree or Equivalent
