This role will drive digital innovation and serve as a change agent by implementing transformative strategies which increase operating efficiency, reduces cost and time to serve, and increases visibility into business performance. The ideal candidate must have strong software engineering skills, experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, and the ability to manage an IBM iSeries.OVERVIEW- Oversee budgeting, project scope, the design and development of new applications. You will be responsible for the final signoff on design, testing, QA, and deployment of all new code.
- Accountable for estimating and tracking Level of Effort, proper resource allocation and prioritizing projects to achieve business objectives.
- Must be able to effectively maintain and continuously improve the iSeries system.
- Maintain all client facing portals and utilize continuous improvement to enhance the end-user experience.
- Investigate and assign resources to quickly resolve application functionality issues.
- Assist Corporate IT and Application vendors with installation and testing.
- Manage and monitor data integrations (SSIS, Go Anywhere) with iSeries and between various applications.
- Develop, document, deploy and maintain APIs in accordance with best practices.
- Provide guidance and oversight for all client implementations (API & SFTP) and dedicate resources to prioritizes Go-To-Market.
- Own the accuracy and performance of the Azure Data Lake and Tableau BI reporting suite
- Ensure proper backlog maintenance in alignment with KPIs.
- Utilize robotic process automation and other advanced technology to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal and external clients on engineering, designing, and establishing a hassle-free user experience.
- Drive digital innovation and serve as a change agent by implementing transformative strategies.
- Collaborate, share knowledge, and communicate best practices to increase end user performance and awareness.
- Ensure adequate staffing and resource allocation for day to day tasks and the deployment of strategic initiatives.
- Will be accountable for monitoring system performance and deploying CRs to improve future performance.
- Must ensure proper system controls to safeguard the data transfer amongst clients and internal systems.
- Will lead a small team of skilled FTEs and consultants.
- Serve on the Leadership Team and share accountability for P&L performance.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a technology-related discipline.
- Min 5 years’ experience in a similar role, designing, coding, testing, and launching code in a .NET and Javascript environment
- 3+ years prior IT leadership or managerial experience
- Versed in Tableau or PowerBI
- Strong SQL skills with DB coding experience
- Experience setting up flat file transmissions via SFTP
- Strong working knowledge of Agile Framework
- Exposure to RPG and iSeries environment
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Experience creating and performing oversight for requirements gathering, user stories, establishing the design doc, adherence to scope, and minimizing CRs
- Knowledge of robotic process automation and other advanced automation technologies
- Ability to work with multiple technical teams and must have a proven track record of leading successful IT projects
- Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively with employees at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership, responsibility, and leadership necessitated by varying circumstances
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to travel required
