The Work You Will Do: The Public Information Officer (PIO) Coordinator will be responsible for planning and implementing the development of communication pieces for agency programs designed to keep public informed of agency programs, services, accomplishments, or mission. This position reports to the Deputy Communications Director within the Office of Communications. Pay:

$50,000 to $60,000

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Prepare and distribute fact sheets, news releases, photographs, scripts, or other written materials, videos, or any kind of multi-media items media representatives and the public.

Prepare and edit organizational publications.

Coordinates and/or participates in multi-media production.

Consults with advertising agencies or staff to arrange promotional campaigns.

Arrange and conduct public-contact programs designed to meet agency objectives.

Confers with production and support personnel to coordinate production of advertisements and promotional materials.

Represent the agency at public and business gatherings to promote programs, services, or the department’s mission.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in writing and AP (Associate Press) style, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, detail oriented. Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
