Position Duties & Responsibilities

The Infrastructure Architect reports to the Agency's Chief Technology Officer. The Infrastructure Architect will serve the entire agency but have a specific focus on Motorist Modernization projects and will be responsible for managing technology infrastructure and application planning and designing for assigned projects as well as contributing to the development of enterprise standards and technology architecture, technology evaluation, and the IT governance process. This position will also be responsible for managing the process that ensures that IT assets required to deliver services are properly controlled, and that accurate and reliable information about these assets is available when needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Extensive knowledge of infrastructure planning and operatio ns , design, and deployment, as well as systems life cycle management.

Experience Administering networks or servers.

Experience deploying enterprise level applications

Knowledge of recognized industry wide content management software and content management concepts.

Knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations Planning.

Knowledge of Service Asset and Configuration Management.

Knowledge of architectural and application design principles, patterns, and practices.

Knowledge of DevOPS and Continuous Integration principles.

Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems .

Ability to maintain current on tools, methodologies , and technologies.

Ability to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and information management across all lines of business and technology platforms.

Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional man ner .

Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and technical information both verbally and in writing.

The capability of discussing any aspect of their team's work with client s .
