job summary:

1.1 Minimally Required Deliverables/Tasks

A. Applications Architect -

1) Development, maintenance, and enhancement over the different applications of the Customer's systems, to include but not limit the applications to:

- Initial & Continued Claims;

- Interstate Connection Network (Icon) (IB4, IB5);

- Batches (Icon, Set up determination links, Retroactive payments);

- Monetary;

- Issues;

- Page Flow GUI;

- Shell claims;

- Combined wages;

- Workflow items;

- Framework for Automated Claim & Tax Services (uFACTS) Framework;

- DOR Wage Adjustment Exception (DORW);

- Authentication API (Social Security Administration (SSA) and LexisNexis);

- DORW, Short Term Compensation (STC) Plan, Authentication API (SSA and Third-Party Authentication);

2) Provide design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy;

3) Develop enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features;

4) Use a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers;

5) Provide expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business. Determine specifications, then plans, designs, and develops the most complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes - either individually or in concert with project team;

6) Assist with reported problems identified to require high-level support;

7) Develop programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse;

8) Utilize in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and objectoriented approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs;

9) Consistently apply the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies;

10) Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business; and

11) Maintain availability as a technical expert and critical technical resource across multiple disciplines for both internal and external partners to the customer.

2.0 Staff Qualifications and Performance Criteria

Contractor shall possess the professional and technical staff necessary to perform the

information technology staff augmentation services required by this contract and the staff shall

have sufficient skill and experience to perform the services assigned to them.

A. Applications Architect - Contractor and/or Contractor's Staff shall have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

1) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field with

two - three (2-3) years of relevant architecture experience OR Master's degree in

identified fields of study with one - two 1-2 years of relevant architecture experience;

2) Seven - Ten (7-10) years of experience in various areas of IT;

3) Expert knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications systems design and

integration;

4) Experience working as a project lead for multiple IT projects, to include those of high

complexity which required in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and

business segments;

5) Experience with Reemployment Assistance (RA) Claims & Benefits system (CONNECT),

uFACTS, or similar Unemployment Compensation (UC) system;

6) C# software development skills;

7) Relational database skills;

8) Knowledge of N-Tier Architecture;

9) Knowledge of .Net 3.5 or later;

10) Abilities as a team member on a team of 5 or more developers;

11) Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall Development Methodology;

12) Knowledge of .Net 4.0 Framework or later;

13) Knowledge of ASP.Net;

14) Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 or later;

15) Knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS);
