Quality & Detailed orientated applicant needed for busy Collision Repair Center

We have an immediate need for a full-time Porter to join the team at Tallahassee Ford Collision Center, one of Phil Smith Group of Dealerships .

The Porter/ Detail technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the entire property in a clean, crisp manner. The Porter reports directly to the Collision Center Manager and takes direction from the Production Supervisor as assigned. This position will maintain working relationships with all other staff members.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Maintains shop work area in a clean and attractive state.

Moves cars.

Clean repaired cars.

Delivers cars to customers.

Keeps car lot clean and orderly.

Runs various errands for the dealership.

Maintains CSI at or above Company standards

Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area

Participates in required training

Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system

Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

Demonstrates the Companys Core Values

Complies with Company policies and procedures

Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Other duties as assigned

Desired Education:

Associate Degree

Field of Study/Work Experience:

Automotive

Education/Experience:

Previous work experience desired.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Drivers License

Computer Skills:

Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to (70) pounds.

Work includes frequent movement around the dealership facilities and the outdoor storage lot and movement in and out of cars. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed throughout the dealership, both indoors and outdoors and off dealership premises. Due to the nature of the position, may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a range of tasks. Regularly interacts with employees from various departments in the dealership and has some contact with customers.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations.
