  • Responsible for the execution of functional tasks, team performance/development and enhancement of departmental risk and control processes within the FICC Clearing & Settlement Operations team. Resource to department demonstrating knowledge of BONY clearance, Fedwire deliverable products, Triparty Repo, SIFMA good delivery guidelines.
Your Responsibilities
  • Determines objectives, sets priorities, and delegates work. Helps develop and ensures compliance with established control framework
  • Understands and appropriately applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise
  • Develops and implements short term strategy and ensures execution of divisional goals on a department level, including the execution of business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives
  • Executes medium term strategy for the organization and ensures results are achieved by creating an effective workflow for the team
  • Makes well-informed, effective, and timely decisions, even when data are limited, perceives the impact and implications of decisions
  • Develops the ability of others to perform and contribute to the organization by providing ongoing feedback and by providing opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods
  • Supports and drives continuous improvement for process and procedures; Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results
Quality/Customer Service/Relationship Management
  • Meets the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Delivers high-quality support of the Government Securities Division (GSD) products and services; is committed to continuous improvement
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors
Qualifications
  • Minimum Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Masters Degree or Equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of SIFMU rules, regulations, and regulatory guidance
  • High comfort level in presenting to large audience; strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • An in depth understanding of financial securities, how they are structured, and how they are processed at DTCC.
  • Specific knowledge of Treasury and Agency securities as well as Repo Financing products including General Collateral and Sponsored Collateral.
