Summary Description: Manages the migration of member firm Microsoft Active Directory environments, which requires in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, technology infrastructure, application expertise, analytical skills, and resolving complex problems in collaboration with others in the business and technology support teams. Strategic & Technical Orientation / Job Content: Application and Depth of ExpertiseRequires deep functional expertise, technical and application expertise of Microsoft Active Directory and ideally has a broader understanding of identity and access management technologies including ForgeRock &/or Sailpoint.Diagnoses and troubleshoots complex application and technology issues.Requires excellent communication skills to effectively manage the Directory Services environment and member firm stakeholders.Identifies and shares key knowledge-sharing opportunities. Range of Impact: Direction and DiscretionReviews and resolves complex application and technology issues relating to Microsoft Active Directory.Manages the technical implementation of applications into the technology infrastructure in support of a "go live" event in addition to ongoing escalated issues.Determines the escalation of support requests to development, if the team is unable to resolve the issue.Influences others by leading and interacting with other IT organizations. Scope of responsibility:The Active Directory Migration Engineer oversees the Active directory migration for member firms.Coordinates the execution of the Directory Services strategy and direction set by the regional Lead.Requires the development of knowledge on the technology standards and expertise of assigned business and technical applications. Quality Service Delivery:Provides Active Directory Migration expertiseMaintains knowledge of the functional aspects of Active DirectoryKnows data flows and surrounding business processes impacted by Active directoryMaintains a good working knowledge of the applications(s) supported including: purpose, capabilities, limitations and use within the businessUpdates service requests and resolutions to call tracking databaseRegularly shares application knowledge when new problem resolutions are relevant to others on the teamDemonstrates knowledge of applications and platforms currently utilized by the Firm and strong technical knowledge of products relevant to assigned applicationsEscalates issues or problems that cannot be resolved to Development People and Performance ManagementEmbeds diversity in all activitiesIdentifies training gaps and works with peer network and demand organizations to develop training initiativesProvides counseling, coaching and mentoring to staffTakes an active role in the coaching and development of US IT Technical Application Support senior associates, identifies skill development needs, research/creates training to raise skills/core competencies for staff and encourages training and development Quality Service Delivery:Quality factors for Application Technical Support metricsMeets or exceeds targets for quality and operational Key Performance Indicators on Balanced ScorecardsEnsures appropriate and consistent standards are followedCustomer satisfaction feedback People and Performance ManagementConsistent application and delivery of Directory Services SupportDelivers value to customers and clients as measured by feedback from key stakeholdersCoaches on development plansProvides appropriate developmental guidance and disciplinary action for those staff who are not performing at the Fully Meets Expectations level

Qualifications:Solid experience working with large complex Active Directory Migrations as an Engineer;Quest Migration Manager - preferred toolADMT - Active Directory Migration Tool experience - secondary, would work as wellIT Architecture: Design, implementation, deployment and administration;AD DS, AD FS, GPO, Identity Management Software( (, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Forest and Domain trusts;IT infrastructure knowledge, associated network components to support the needed architecture;Travel may be involved & working hours will need to be flexible given the regional and global nature of the role. For your flexibility, we provide flexibility to help you work best;Beneficial, but not essential is experience with Quest migration tools, PowerShell scripting;Ability to effectively identify trends and escalate issues to the appropriate contacts;Skilled in reporting and analyzing administrative, productivity and operational data; andExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
