Why You'll Love This Job: The Lead Disaster Recovery Engineer is responsible for supporting Cloud DR exercises and ensuring a continual state of readiness to recover DTCC systems within the required RTO. This role will require participation in planning, implementing and executing Cloud DR activities according to company defined business continuity and resilience requirements.

What You'll Do:
  • Support the preparation and execution of Cloud DR exercises
  • Available to support and coordinate Cloud DR exercises on weekends several times per year
  • Coordinate problem resolution conference calls with stakeholders during Cloud DR exercises
  • Work with SMEs on the resolution of post-exercise incidents and problems related to Cloud DR
  • Actively participate in the design, management and versioning of IT Cloud DR Recovery plans
  • Participate in Change Management process by reviewing changes to cloud applications and identify DR impact
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Cloud DR procedures and Enterprise DR runbook for recovering all in-scope cloud applications are kept up to date to maintain a continual state of readiness
  • Contribute to ongoing and future Cloud DR related projects and initiatives to determine DR impact, work with stakeholders to incorporate steps into DR runbook to recover those applications as necessary
  • Responsible for maintaining Cloud DR registration of critical support staff
  • Develop working relationships with internal stakeholders, line-of-business management and business partners
  • Continuously collaborate with Business Continuity and Resilience, Application Development, and key IT stakeholders to maintain an effective and complete recovery plan
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
  • Work closely with peers to improve workflow processes & communication
