DUTIES:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide system design documentation, architectural design, conduct technical reviews, and make recommendations to drive standards for effective operations.
  • Manage day-to-day administration of multiple interconnected solutions including Greenplum DB, MDM, Informatica, Talend, ER Studio, ILM and Striim applications.
  • Provide ETL solutions for the large data loads across Greenplum, Oracle and Hadoop using Informatica and MDM.
  • Drive end-to-end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for Greenplum database and MDM using various tools such as gpmon, Tableau dashboards.
  • Monitor the operating system response in terms of CPU usage, disk space, swap space and paging by using various LINUX utilities like SAR, vmstat and top.
  • Responsible for backup and recovery of the operating system and third-party applications, file-system management, patching, process automation writing programs, server installation/configuration and ignite configuration.
  • Implement Disaster Recovery (DR) system and provide asynchronous replication solution to keep both Production and DR in sync to meet industry standards.
  • Perform periodic application upgrades by applying patches to resolve SNMP and NTP security vulnerabilities identified by the Network/Linux team.
  • Implement and automate weekly maintenance of the applications using Shell, Python and Perl scripts to add stability and maintain ACID properties of the applications and database.
  • Act as a principle contributor in installing, setting up, configuring, upgrading and maintenance of following applications: Infosphere Master Data Management (MDM), GreenPlum DB, and Hadoop, Talend, Informatica, ER studio and Striim.
  • Perform multiple complex upgrades of Greenplum Database in various clusters including Unified Computing System by Cisco (UCS) and Data Computing Appliance by DELL EMC (DCA) from 4.3 version to 5.0 versions.
  • Enhance security for data at rest by implementing Hard Drive based encryption or Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS) encryption for all the high-risk Greenplum database systems running 4.3.x and 5.x versions.
  • Design, develop, and manage Informatica ILM, including overall data archive design, database architecture, logical and physical data definition, and development of ETL programs.
  • Design, develop, install and configure ER studio and Striim applications in POC, Non-prod and Prod environments.
  • Perform detailed, highly technical root cause analysis of systems and applications in order to assist team in resolving issues.
  • Provide SME support in utilizing and optimizing the core capabilities of big data tools including but not limited to Hadoop, MDM, Greenplum, Alteryx, Striim.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related and 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • In addition, experience with the following skills is required: (1) Providing ETL solutions for large data loads across multiple Databases including Oracle, SQL, GreenPlum, Hadoop, Teradata; (2) Using COTS (commercial off the shelf Data Modeling Tools) including ER Studio to design, develop, install, configure, upgrading, applications in production and non-production environments; (3) Evaluating data encryption techniques and solutions for both hardware and software (LUKS, Hard drive based encryption, EIS). (4) Conducting software administration with Informatica (BDM, PowerCenter, ILM, DQ, DA), ER Studio, IBM MDM, and Talend and (5) Working in or with the Government HealthCare Industry (Medicare, Medicaid) and understanding the basic concepts of being a HealthCare Provider (Claims, Adjudication, CMS Requirements).
