Come be a valued Contractor at one of the local Tampa Bay's prestigious colleges/universities. Position SummaryResponsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment in a classroom setting. The position must work flexible hours (totaling 40 hours a week) but consisting of scheduled Sunday-Saturday, 6am - 10pm.ResponsibilitiesAV InstallationCoordinates with IT technicians, external vendors and end-users in installing, commissioning and testing new audio visual equipment. This includes reading and red-lining designs, pulling and terminating cable and configuring equipment.AV and Classroom Support:Real-time troubleshooting and resolution of AV issues in support of the newly installed locations until a proper hand-off to the AV Operations group. This includes setting up and break down of portable equipment in the event of a class occurring in the middle of an installation window.Training:Develops, coordinates and provides training and instructional content for faculty and staff on using AV software and hardware. Provides technical advice, training, and hands-on assistance as requested in audio video environments/ classrooms.Other:Performs other duties within AV/ IT, as determined by supervisor; participates in professional development activities as appropriate.
