Seeking Confluent Kafka Engineer with overall 15 years' experience and over 5 years' experience in messaging/Kafka Key Areas of Responsibility: • Experience in Kafka/Confluence-based solutions, participating actively in the collection of needs and requirements, give estimations, propose, and advise different approaches.• Able and/or keen to work with and implement event-based architectures, REST API, GraphQL, Java Spring.• Strong implementation knowledge in Enterprise Confluent Kafka clusters including multi-region broker setup, clustering, Mirror Maker, Replication, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, ksqlDB.• Ensure alignment of technologies with Enterprise Architecture, Development SDLC and Operational capabilities.• Help to improve the performance of the final solution, by providing improvements and helping to implement them.• Research, assess and understand the platform's trends and complimentary ecosystem.• Socialize information on the technology platform within the Development and Operational communities.• Work with multiple agile teams and architects, develops engineers across our international footprint to ensure consistency of solutions or an acceptable level of divergence of solutions.• Provide leadership and expertise in the establishing of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices Established track record with Kafka and confluence technology.• Should possess deep understanding of the Kafka and Confluence architecture and internals of how it works, and Hands-on production experience is a plus.• Knowledge and experience of microservices, event-sourcing, open-source data solutions and cloud native applications is highly desirable.• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Key Desired Skills, Experience and Knowledge: • Over 8 years of overall experience in Platform delivery management.• Subject Matter Expertise in infrastructure/ Hardware/ Software/ Database/ Middle ware stack.• SME level experience in Kafka/Confluence and strong problem-solving skills.• Knowledge of Kafka API (development experience is a plus).• Strong knowledge of infrastructure project management including legacy upgrades.• Organization and coordination skills are required.• Able to work autonomously and execute against a vision instead of a task list.• Able to communicate a technical vision to team members and business stakeholders.• Proactive, open-minded personality with a passion for open source, new technologies and agile software development.• Experience in writing range of technology physical and logical requirements and, Tech stack Functional Requirements Document, Build document, Dependencies mapping, etc.• Experience in driving business results through effective use of technology solutions.• You must feel comfortable on technical discussions and be able to defend your points.• Knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery.
