Our client, a leading global financial services company, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries. They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management. The Capital Markets organization is looking for a resource to join its data management team. The Data Quality and Governance organization is responsible for driving a data architecture in order to deliver front to back design, identify gaps, and implement a robust governance framework across the group. A key focus is on Data Quality including completeness, accuracy and timeliness across data flows. The function is responsible for extensive partnering across Asset Classes to drive key initiatives and associated deliverables for the data strategy and manage change with the right governance frame. The function and role spans the organization and, as a result, requires strong engagement with relevant teams.

Key Responsibilities include: • Data Quality Issue governance, tracking and managing issues to resolution.• Coordinating across Operations, Finance, Risk and Technology partners, ensuring DQ issue remediation by the appropriate data source.• Preparing metrics and reporting by asset class, and escalating issues when necessary to remediate in a timely manner.• Analyzing exceptions to identify root cause and impact on data quality issues raised.• Working with cross functional teams to develop, test, implement and maintain data quality rules covering the trade life cycle across markets data. • Partner with the business analysis and markets regulatory teams to determine the acceptance criteria for upcoming regulatory deliverables.

Required Skills: • 6+ years experience in data-focused initiatives across Pre-Trade/Post-Trade activities such as RFQ, Order/Executions, Trades, MTM, Positions, etc.• Able to write SQL queries and review stored procedures. • Experience working with Database, Reporting/Analytics. Experience with databases like MongoDB or Hadoop Ecosystem (HDFS, Impala, HIVE, HBASE, etc.) is a plus.• Experience in FIX, XML messaging is a plus.• Experience in Issue tracking and governance with systems like JIRA / HPQC is a plus.• Excellent analytical and communication skills.• Demonstrates a passion for research and exploration.• Able to work in a team and independently.• Organized and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
