Responsibilities:Responsible for supporting test activities for assigned application(s)
Responsible for automation of assigned deliverables ensuring best practice concepts implemented
Responsible for reporting test status to management
Execution of manual testing for both new functionality and regression (where needed)
Quality Control for assigned strategic application releases
Contribute to the implementation of the Global Test Strategy
Works closely with key stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements to develop test plans, test cases and scripts.
Documents, evaluates and researches test results for future replication.
Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements to enhance testing strategies.
Exhibits good understanding of concepts and principles in own technical area and a basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
Requires basic understanding of how own area integrates within IT testing to achieve objectives.
Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information.
Participate in test strategy meetings
Has direct impact on the team and closely related teams by ensuring the quality of the tasks services information provided by self and others.
Requires sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
Provides informal guidance to new team members.
Performs other duties and functions as assigned
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:2-5 years experience of Testing within Financial Service industry
Strong knowledge of full software development and testing lifecycle
Strong knowledge on writing SQL queries- including SQL joins
Previous experience with SQL server, Oracle and Impala (beneficial)
Previous experience with DB Store procedure, function, view, data partition
Previous experience with ETL testing and ETL tools (Informatica Power Center and other ETL Tools
Experience with manual testing for enterprise applications following iterative or agile methodologies
Experience in writing range of test artefacts; test plan, test cases, test reports etc.
Previous experience in using Jira – beneficial
Experience working as part of a split site environment
Experience with reporting test status to stakeholders
Previous experience with REST API services testing using Postman
Experience in Cucumber – beneficial
Experience of designing automation frameworks and proven track record of ensuring best practice implementations i.e. code review, code quality gates (i.e. Sonar) etc. – beneficial
Experience in automation using Selenium with Java – beneficial
Experience in developing, configuring and managing large-scale data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Hbase databases will be advantageous
Education:Bachelor’s/University in Computer Science or related field or Equivalent combination of education and experience
