Job Description:

Exception Management Role Summary:
  • Analyst position within the Documentation Operations Unit (DOU). The DOU is a centralized, business aligned operational function focused on delivering timely documentation referential data and ease of document retrieval services across all ICG Business lines.
  • The team is responsible for exception management for FX, derivatives and SFT unlinked trades including performing analysis and required remediation to ensure unlinked trades are aligned with the appropriate legal agreement.
  • Analyst will ensure that assigned day to day activities for investigating trade exceptions are completed in a timely manner with a primary focus on data quality.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong technical skills and the ability to learn and work with a very complex in-house data management system.
  • The position will require gaining a detailed familiarity with client's standard forms of documentation, technology and internal procedures.
  • Strong technical skills are required for many aspects of this job.

Key Responsibilities:
  • This role is for an analyst with a strong track record of delivering high-quality performance.

Key areas of focus will include:
  • Working collaboratively with internal key business stakeholders to maintain a strong working relationship and a best in class approach to proactive exception management
  • Identify opportunities to improve process flows leveraging LEAN processes and identifying any opportunities for automation
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding client, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Conduct annual periodic reviews of existing procedural documentation to ensure accuracy and relevancy.

Knowledge or Experience:
  • Experience in business analysis within fast paced operations team
  • Demonstrated experience of optimization in processes (legal or regulatory adherence an advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of the client environment, understanding of products and services offered preferred
  • Proven ability to interpret, anticipate and implement change
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Willingness to own an issue and bring it to completion
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, including strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Achieving or Driving Results: Analytical skills for workflow, process and systems analysis
  • Execution focused, overcomes obstacles and minimizes bureaucracy
