Job Description

Overview:
  • The Business Applications Analyst applies best practices and discipline in problem definition, researching, documenting and presenting business and operational processes and requirements. Depending upon complexity the Business Analyst may be assigned concurrent, multiple projects. Ultimately, motivated by the desire to optimize productivity, while adhering to clinical and regulatory compliance requirements, and nurture implementation success from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Documentation. Maintain highly organized documentation regarding each pharmacy and keep project management tool(s) up-to-date.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings; take and distribute detailed notes.
  • Develop guides for pharmacy staff where necessary.
  • Product Support and Training. Provide support and training to pharmacy locations during implementation stages.
  • Provide Feedback. Consult frequently and regularly with pharmacy leaders to discern best practices and advise on specifics related to implementation.
  • Relay information discovered by yourself or feedback submitted by pharmacies about software and investigate possible solutions.
  • Gap Analysis. Interact with a diverse base of user-groups to solicit information about pharmacies’ current practices and evaluate challenges with recommended best practices of the new software (FrameworkLTC).
  • Standardization. Understand and educate others on the importance of company’s data standards and work flow best practices.
  • Communicate and Monitor. Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrating tact, diplomacy and accuracy.
  • Comfortable with setting clear deadlines and ensuring adherence to timeline. Work with team to manage expectations as to what is achievable.
  • Process Development. Collaboratively develop processes and procedures where inefficiencies in the workflow are discovered.
  • Test new system functionality or suggested workflows and present findings in a clear and concise manner.Find root causes for problems and recommend solutions to mitigate challenges.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence working independently and within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and easily adaptable to new technology.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • 2-4 years as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager is preferred
  • 2+ years Long Term Care experience or healthcare software knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge of FrameworkLTC is strongly preferred.
